Rates (Israel)
(For rates for clients outside of Israel - click here)

Effective October 2008, the base rates recommended by the ITA , not including VAT, are as follows:

  •  A galley sheet (24,000 characters including spaces): NIS 1440
  • A translation unit (250 words): 90 NIS
  • A word: 0.36 NIS

To these basic rates, a surcharge should be added for any of the following considerations:

  1. Scientific, scholarly, technical or other professional texts requiring time for research and/or verification.
  2. Texts in a new area requiring the coinage of new terminology
  3. A literary text, a text with a unique style, or poetry
  4. An unclear source text (unedited, handwritten, or with numerous corrections)
  5. A rush job
  6. Translation to or from a language of low diffusion
  7. Translation of films involving viewing and/or with technical limitations on subtitles
  8. Additional DTP (desktop publishing) or layout requirements.

The rate for a short text (less than 250 words) is the same as for a full page.

The aforementioned recommended rates relate to translation work contracted directly with an end-client. Rates for work handled through a third party (for example, a translation agency) may be lower and must be set by mutual agreement between the parties.
